In years past, a bully would pick on his victim(s) at the bus stop or a deserted corner of the school. Now, bullies have another avenue of intimidation: the Internet.

Most teenagers of this generation know how to communicate with their peers via e-mail, instant messaging, text messaging, blogs and cell phones. However, if they are using any of these electronic avenues to harass or bully others, the act can constitute a federal computer crime, punishable in the U.S. by a monetary fine and up to two years imprisonment.
