Article: REC-PLEX'S ICE GEMS WIN NATIONAL TITLE

The city of St. Peters issued the following news release:

A St. Peters Rec-Plex senior youth synchronized skating team won the Ice Skating Institute (ISI) national championship in both the short program and long program. The Ice Gems won the titles at the ISI 2007 Synchronized Skating Championship, April 13-15, in Blaine, Minn.

Also during the championship in Minnesota, the St. Peters Rec-Plex was announced as the winner of the bid for the 2008 ISI Synchronized Skating Championship. Next year's championship will be held in April in one of the skating rinks currently under construction as part of the Rec-Plex expansion project.
