Article: Female alcoholics at a greater risk of cognitive problems

Washington, April 24 -- A recent research has found that alcoholic women are more likely to develop physiological and cognitive problems than their male counterparts.

The study, conducted by researchers at the University of North Carolina, has established the greater damaging physical effects that alcohol can have upon women, despite drinking less and for a shorter period of time than men.
