Article: Governor Rell Opposes Proposal for Full-Time Legislature

The Connecticut Republican Party issued the following news release:

Governor M. Jodi Rell today stated her strong opposition to a legislative proposal to create a full-time legislature - a fundamental change to Connecticut's government that would require a change to the State's Constitution. Also being discussed are legislative pay raises that would nearly triple the salary of the House Speaker and Senate Pro Tempore to $110,000 per year - while the median household income in Connecticut is $56,617.
