Commissioning a study designed to show deficiencies in service provided by credit unions, the Wisconsin Bankers Association continues to raise questions about the application of a tax exemption to large credit unions, WBA says the state's largest credit unions are serving more upper-income customers, competing directly with banks. The leader of the credit union industry questioned the validity of the study and called it just the latest jab in the decades-long fight between the two industries.
