10th CTI-DND CONFERENCE AND MILITARY TEXTILES & PERSONAL EQUIPMENT TRADE SHOW
The first CTI-DND Conference was an experiment. It was triggered by the late 1996 announcement by the Department of National Defence of the Clothe the Soldier project. The government allocated $184 million to update the Canadian soldier's personal combat clothing and equipment. The textile industry responded quickly.
The Conference was the second step in a program to establish an effective working dialogue between the textile industry and the Department of National Defence.
