Article: Free Press circulation's on the rise

THE Winnipeg Free Press continues to be one of the few large newspapers across Canada to show increases in circulation, new industry figures show.

The Free Press had Monday-to-Friday paid circulation of 120,984 for the six months ended March 31, an increase of 1.6 per cent from 119,093 a year ago. That was second only to the 2.5 per cent gain made by Le Journal de Quebec over the same period.

Free Press circulation was also up on the weekends with a 3.2 per cent increase on Sundays (from 114,966 to 118,667) and a 0.3 per cent increase on Saturdays (161,927 to 162,399).
