Article: SMIC UNVEILS ECOTOURISM PROJECT AMID LEGAL CONTROVERSY

SM Investment Corp. (SMIC) on Thursday announced plans of constructing a residential-cum-tourism enclave in a province south of Manila.

The disclosure was made on the same day paid advertisements came out in several newspapers warning of the legal claims supposedly hounding the project.

In a statement, SMIC said it would start construction of 11 residential condominium buildings, a beach and country club, townhouses and a boardwalk that would have commercial areas to cater to residents and tourists in Pico de Loro. The project represents the company's initial property offering in Hacienda Looc in the town of Nasugbu, Batangas.
