This afternoon, Rep. John E. Peterson, R-Pleasantville, voted to help low-income children arrive at school ready to succeed by providing a high-quality early education program that supports children's development. In strong bipartisan fashion, the House backed H.R. 1429, the Improving Head Start Act of 2007, on a vote of 365 to 48.
