Today California Secretary of Education Dr. David Long issued the following statement after addressing more than 4,000 delegates at the California State PTA Convention.

"The California State PTA has been an extraordinary partner with Governor Schwarzenegger in supporting arts and music education in schools. Our current budget provides $605 million in funding to restore art and music programs and thousands of kids are benefiting from these investments that were hard fought by the Governor and the California State PTA.
