The City of Virginia Beach is proud to announce the successful completion of events commemorating the 400th Anniversary of the arrival of the first permanent English settlers in the New World, here, in Virginia Beach. The reenactment events on Thursday and Friday, April 26 and 27, at First Landing State Park were phenomenal. On Thursday, two performances to crowds totaling 5,000 people, maximum capacity, left rich memories of our history and on Friday, 2,500 children from local schools were there to experience the reenactment.
