Article: Stone Harbor to charge for skateboard park

STONE HARBOR -The skateboard park, with its assortment of quarter-pipe ramps and rails, will be supervised by the borough this summer to see that all children wear helmets.

Stone Harbor will also charge a small fee for skateboarders to use the skateboard park to help offset the expense of having it supervised, Administrator Kenneth Hawk said.

The $130,000 skateboard park opened in Stone Harbor in 2005.

While it lists rules and regulations, including the requirement of helmets, the park has not been consistently monitored the past two summers.
