Kansas State University issued the following news release:
Kansas State University interior architecture and product design students earned two of three 2006-2007 honor awards given by the Northern California chapter of the International Interior Design Association.
Leah Sand, a May 2007 bachelor's candidate, Leawood, and Kimberly Kolkovich, senior, St. Louis, Mo., each received a $1,500 scholarship. The third award went to a student from California.
This year's competition topic was responsible stewardship. Students were asked to prepare written and visual consideration of how they could affect the direction of communities, both large and small, around the world in a positive way.
