SURROUNDED as it is by fields and dairy farms, it's a shame that Winnipeg doesn't stink.
Sure, there are a few days in the summer when Loveday Mushroom Farms leaves a lasting impression on St. Boniface and West Kildonan residents rue the existence of the North End Sewage Treatment Plant.
But those are malodourous aromas. A scent that's lacking is actually much more desirable: The fetid reek of a nicely aged raw-milk cheese, which has the ability to set saliva glands into overdrive upon immediate contact with the human ...
