Article: MISSISSIPPI/NEW YORK PICNIC CELEBRATES STATE'S WRITERS, FOOD, MUSIC

The Mississippi Development Authority issued the following news release:

Hours of blues music, tons of fried catfish, and a heap of Southern Hospitality are all on tap for the 28th Annual Mississippi Picnic held in New York City's Central Park East Meadow (97th Street and 5th Avenue) from 12:00 noon - 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2007.

This year's theme is Mississippi: Home of the Great Southern Writers.
