Rep. Ander Crenshaw this week supported legislation to help renew and strengthen the Head Start early childhood development program. The Improving Head Start Act, H.R. 1429, passed the House of Representatives on May 2, 2007 with a vote of 365-48.

"Our children are our most important asset and it is our responsibility to ensure that every child has the proper start in life," said Congressman Crenshaw. "For decades, the Head Start program has given children of low-income families the resources they need in their early stages of development.
