The Clackamas County government issued the following news release:
At 1:30 p.m. today, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office patrol personnel responded to a reported bank robbery at the Bank of America branch located on the corner of SE 82nd Avenue and Johnson Creek Boulevard in Happy Valley.
A suspect description was broadcast to responding patrol deputies through the Clackamas County Department of Communications.
Clackamas County Sheriff's Patrol Deputy Dave Willard arrived in the area promptly, seeking the bank-robbery suspect who was thought to have departed the bank on foot. Numerous citizens were waving their arms and pointing in the direction the suspect was fleeing.
