Yup, it's still election season.
Now that the primary election has separated the contenders from the pretenders, we took the opportunity to separate wheat from chaff in the latest campaign finance reports. The following statistics are taken from the July 6 campaign Finance filings, the last required of candidates until Oct. 9. The numbers effectively cover each candidate's contributions and expenditures from June 2 until July 5.
Number of pages in Gov. Bill Richardson's July 6 campaign finance report: 250.
Amount of contribution Richardson received from a Las Vegas, NM, McDonald's restaurant: $1,000.
Approximate number of Big Macs the governor can buy with the donation (excluding taxes): ...
