Article: Allen Weh Re-Elected as State Chairman of the Republican Party of New Mexico

The New Mexico Republican Party issued the following news release:

Allen E. Weh was re-elected chairman of the Republican Party of New Mexico for a second, two-year term. The election was held Saturday during the State Central Committee meeting in Albuquerque at the Hilton Hotel. Weh faced opposition from fellow Republican, C. Earl Greer of Truth or Consequences. Weh won by a margin of 182 to 137 votes.

The election is important because it will set the course for the New Mexico Republican Party for the next two years, including the upcoming 2008 election cycle.

More than 350 people attended the standing-room-only meeting and 327 were eligible to cast ballots. Also elected were:
