Gov. Dave Freudenthal, D-Wyo., issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS, we celebrate the first day of Spring 2007, it is appropriate that we reflect on the contribution agriculture makes to Wyoming's heritage, economy, and quality of life. It is fitting that we take this occasion of renewed life to acclaim and honor the vital contributions of our farmers and ranchers; and
WHEREAS, a cornerstone of Wyoming's financial stability, agriculture has an estimated economic impact over $900 million. In 2005, the men and women of our 9,200 farms and ranches derived cash income that totaled over $900 million, with over 75 percent of Wyoming's farm cash receipts stemming from the marketing of ...
