The Arizona Democratic Party issued the following news release:

This weekend kicks off the summer driving season. As gas prices continue to surge, families will see the second consecutive summer with record high gasoline prices, paying more at the pump than ever before. Rather than taking strong actions to bring down gas prices, Bush and Republicans in Congress are scrambling to use the crisis to push through an energy bill that increases gas prices and hurts the environment.

"Arizona families are thinking twice about using their vehicles to travel," said Jim Pederson, Chairman of the Arizona Democratic Party. "What we need is to close the revolving door on republicans and lobbyists ...
