The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing issued the following news release:
Vermont will commemorate the 24th Annual National Tourism Week on May 12-20 to increase awareness of the travel and tourism industry's economic, cultural, and social contributions to the United States and Vermont.
The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing will host a National Tourism Week reception following the Travel and Recreation Council meeting on May 17. The reception will be held at noon in the Cedar Creek Room of the State House in Montpelier. Governor Jim Douglas is scheduled to address the group and sign a proclamation.
