Article: PATIENTS, DOCTORS, STONY BROOK UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER COMMUNITY CELEBRATE LIFE AT ANNUAL NATIONAL CANCER SURVIVORS DAY

The State University of New York at Stony Brook issued the following news release:

On Sunday, June 10, from 11:00am to 2:00pm, Stony Brook University Medical Center will host the third annual National Cancer Survivors Day at the Ward Melville Educational and Cultural Center in Stony Brook. The event, called the "Carousel of Life," brings together cancer survivors of breast, prostate, lung and other forms of adult and childhood cancers, with their physicians, SBUMC staff, and their families in a carnival-like setting.

According to the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, a "survivor" is anyone living with a history of cancer - from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life. ...
