Louisiana State University at Alexandria issued the following news release:
Chancellor Robert Cavanaugh presented diplomas to 188 graduates, the largest graduating class in university history, during LSU Alexandria's spring commencement ceremony Thursday at the Alexandria Riverfront Center.
Presenting the commencement address on Thursday was Dr. William Jenkins, LSU System president.
"Graduation is always an exiting time for the university," said Cavanaugh. "This semester is especially exciting because we have the largest number of graduates in the history of the institution.
