The Virginia Republican Party issued the following news release:

Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Kate Obenshain Griffin announced today the candidates who have been certified for the Republican primary election on June 14, 2005. State law requires that a candidate for statewide office obtain at least 10,000 signatures of qualified voters, including at least 400 qualified voters from each congressional district in the Commonwealth.

"I am pleased to announce that the Republican Party of Virginia has completed our certification process of statewide candidates. There are six statewide candidates who have qualified for the June 14, 2005 Republican primary," said Chairman ...
