The Bergen County Executive issued the following press release:
Child care organizations and parents across the country joined together on May 11, 2007 to celebrate Provider Appreciation Day. It is estimated that almost 12 million children under age 5 in the United States are in some type of child care every week.
Locally, the Office for Children in the Department of Human Services is leading the effort in Bergen County. County Executive, Dennis McNerney, in order to recognize and applaud the efforts of providers and their staff who work tirelessly for children, issued a proclamation declaring May 11, 2007 as Child Care Provider Appreciation Day in Bergen County.
