Article: Arizona Inventors Develop Evaporative Cooler Pump Strainer

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 30 -- Roger C. Palmer of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Donald L. Townsend of Phoenix, have developed a removable strainer for an evaporative cooler.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A strainer for a water pump includes a bottom panel and an upwardly extending side panel forming a cavity. The base of the water pump is received within the cavity and is removably secured to the filter."

The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,220,355 on May 22.

The patent has been assigned to AdobeAir Inc., Phoenix.
