WASHINGTON, June 6 -- Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, has introduced the Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility Closure Act of 2007 (S. 1469), legislation that would "require the closure of the Department of Defense (DOD) detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba."
The bill, introduced on May 23, was referred to the Senate Armed Services Committee.
