London, June 6 -- Hundreds of glaciers on the Antarctic Peninsula are flowing faster, further adding to sea level rise, says a new research published this week in the Journal of Geophysical Research.

According to the study, "Widespread acceleration of tidewater glaciers on the Antarctic Peninsula", climate warming, that is already causing an increased summer snow melt in the Antarctic Peninsula, and an ice shelf retreat, is the most likely cause.
