New York, June 6 -- Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. turned real life hero when he saved a shooting victim's life at a Hollywood restaurant recently.

A source has revealed that the incident took place outside Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n' Waffles at the corner of Sunset Blvd. and N. Gower St.

While narrating the mishap that occurred with a man around 20 years of age, the source said that the 39-year-old actor was waiting in his car outside the restaurant "when he heard four gunshots."

"Cuba was picking up dinner for his family on the night of Memorial Day," the New York Daily News quoted the source as saying.
