Northwestern University issued the following news release:

The Northwestern University School of Music's Summer 2007 music highlights will include performances by Swedish guest vibraphonist and composer Anders Astrand and Northwestern percussion Professor Michael Burritt (July 16). Burritt also will perform with guest Polish percussion virtuoso Marta Klimasara, winner of the 1999 World Marimba Competition and the 2001 Munich Solo Competition and the Northwestern University Percussion Ensemble (July 19).

Beginning in late June the National High School Music Institute (NHSMI), an integral part of the School of Music, will offer students interested in music careers the opportunity to work with ...
