WASHINGTON, June 8 -- Rep. Jim Matheson, D-Utah, has introduced a resolution (H.Res. 448) "expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that there should be established a National Cancer Research Month."

The resolution, introduced on May 24, was co-sponsored by Reps. Lois Capps, D-California; Brian Higgins, D-New York; Del. Madeleine Z. Bordallo, D-Guam; Reps. Dan Burton, R-Indiana; Vernon J. Ehlers, R-Michigan; and Elton Gallegly, R-California. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
