Texas A&M University, a component of the public university system in Texas, issued the following news from its agriculture program:

"The Changing Dynamics of the Texas Beef Industry" is the theme for this year's Texas A&M Beef Cattle Short Course. The short course will be Aug. 6-8 at Texas A&M University in College Station.

The U.S. beef industry has experienced many changes in the past few years. "Rising fuel, fertilizer, equipment and labor costs are on the minds of most cow-calf producers and will be addressed at this year's short course," said Dr. Jason Cleere, Texas Cooperative Extension beef cattle specialist and conference coordinator.
