The New Jersey Assembly's Democrats issued the following news release:

Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein today announced sponsorship of Assembly legislation that would ensure consumers receive unfettered access to reports on infection rates at all New Jersey hospitals.

Greenstein's bill comes in response to a recent report by the Star-Ledger that found state health officials collect only limited information on hospital infections. The story also highlighted a secretive system in which infection rates are withheld from public scrutiny.
