Eastern Washington University issued the following news release:
Writers in the Community and Get Lit!, the Northwest's premier annual literary festival, will host two poetry slam events sponsored by Burger King in downtown Spokane featuring performances from local youth and teens. The Youth Poetry Slam for ages 12 and under will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12 at the Kress Gallery, third floor of River Park Square, 808 W. Main Avenue. The Teen Poetry Slam for ages 13-19 will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18 at the Empyrean Café, 154 S. Madison.
