Today, Rep. Phil English (R-Pa.) joined a bipartisan group of 44 House lawmakers in announcing H.R. 2574, legislation to implement the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group (ISG) - also known as the Baker Hamilton Commission - as the way forward in dealing with the war in Iraq. English, who voted against the U.S. troop surge earlier this year, has been a vocal advocate of the ISG's recommendations since the release of the report in December 2006, and has consistently called for a timely withdrawal from Iraq.
