WASHINGTON, June 12 -- Rep. Rosa L. DeLauro, D-Connecticut, has introduced the Early Childhood Investment Act of 2007 (H.R. 2616), legislation that would "promote public-private partnerships to strengthen investment in early childhood development for children from birth to entry into kindergarten in order to ensure healthy development and school readiness for all children."
The bill, introduced on June 7, was co-sponsored by Rep. Joe Courtney, D-Connecticut. It was referred to the House Education and Labor Committee.
