Article: New survey reflects moderation among American Muslims

DEARBORN - A recent survey of American Muslims challenges a misconception many Americans have about the fastest growing religious group in the U.S.: The vast majority rejects religious extremism. But some are decrying results that show 26 percent of young Muslims think suicide bombing in defense of Islam is justified.

The Pew Research Center released the findings of what is considered to be the most in-depth, comprehensive look at American Muslims ever done by an independent group.
