BASF with global headquarters at Ludwigshafen, Germany, and Monsanto, St. Louis, Missouri, USA, announced jointly on March 21 the launching of a long-term joint research and development and commercialization collaboration in plant biotechnology that is to focus on the development of high-yielding crops and crops that show greater tolerance to adverse environmental conditions such as drought.
