The U.S. Department of Justice's U.S. Attorney's office for the Northern District of Iowa issued the following press release:
United States Attorney Matt M. Dummermuth announced today that a man who sold crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school in Cedar Rapids was sentenced June 7, 2007, to nine years in federal prison.
AARON DARRELL SAMPSON, age 22, from Cedar Rapids received the prison term after a guilty plea on March 1, 2007, to one count of distribution of more than 5 grams of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school.
In a plea agreement, SAMPSON admitted he distributed the crack cocaine on December 12, 2006. The sale occurred within 1,000 feet of Hoover Elementary School in ...
