ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 15 -- Marcelo De Melo Silva and Valmir Lui Stoinski, both of Jaragua do Sul, Brazil, have developed an encased starting switch contact assembly that is protected against dust and small particles for a single-phase rotating electric machine.
