Article: My search for quinoa for Pesach

Before the holiday began, Washington Jewish Week printed that quinoa was safe to eat during Pesach because it's a grass, not a grain, and apparently, it's safe to eat (not smoke) grass during Pesach.

Other than making me feel a little bovine, I was elated and shared such elation via e-mail with all of my friends who take the observance of Pesach pretty darn seriously. For instance, it's the one week a year they don't eat shrimp with lobster sauce. But such elation was short-lived, and I found myself eating my words, albeit not kosher l'Pesach words.
