EL Paso County issued the following news release: At their meeting yesterday, the El Paso County Board of Commissioners approved an amendment to a construction contract with Rocky Mountain Materials & Asphalt Inc. Amendment #1 states that El Paso County will provide $94,408.37 to pave additional roads not covered under the base contract. Portions of approximately forty county roads will be repaved. The amendment was necessary because the El Paso County Department of Transportation (DOT) is working on several small, independent projects that needed some paving capability beyond what the DOT can complete internally.
