Article: New Jersey Inventors Develop Natural Appearing Hair Color Providing Compositions

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 20 -- Saroja Narasimhan of Matawan, N.J., and Lou Ann Christine Vena of Scotch Plains, N.J., have developed a method and compositions for providing natural appearing hair color.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the invention relates to a "method for improving the dimensionality and fade resistance of oxidatively colored or lightened hair, a method for oxidatively coloring or lightening hair, a kit for use in practicing the method, and the related compositions."

The inventors were issued U.S. Patent No. 7,232,466 on June 19.

The patent has been assigned to Revlon Consumer Products Corp., New York.
