The New York State Senate (majority) issued the following news release:

The New York State Senate today passed legislation to increase access to the State's Family Health Plus program by assisting employers in providing health care coverage to its employees.

The bill (S6344) will allow employers to provide comprehensive health coverage for their workers through creation of a new Family Health Plus buy-in initiative.

"This important legislation makes health care coverage more accessible for thousands of New Yorkers who are uninsured and builds on New York's legacy as a national leader in providing quality and affordable health care for its families," Senator Bruno said.
