BILOXI -- More than 130 years after signatures on a piece of paper ended America's greatest internal conflict, Beauvoir, the Jefferson Davis Shrine and last home of the Confederacy's only president, is at the center of a new trend.

"Cultural tourism -- something that is historical, educational or artistic -- is a surprisingly strong and vibrant sector of the tourism market," said Beauvoir director Keith Hardison. "There is a trend towards increased interest in cultural tourism."
