Gov. Mike Beebe, D-Ark., has issued the following news release:
Gov. Mike Beebe announced today that he has made appointments for two vacated judgeships and also appointed a Special Justice for an Arkansas Supreme Court case. The appointees are:
Alice Lightle, Little Rock, to the Little Rock District Court, Third (Environmental) Division. Lightle, 53, is currently the policy director for the Arkansas Public Policy Panel. She has also worked in private practice and as an Assistant Attorney General. In 2001, Lightle served as President of the Arkansas Association of Women Lawyers. The appointment will expire December 31, 2008.
