Fulton County issued the following press release:
Fulton County is continuing its downward trend in property tax millage rates. In fact, the taxes are down by 23 percent from their 2000 rate.
At its June 20, 2007 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners set the millage rates for 2007 property taxes. The rates reflect a countywide decrease of 1.190 mills.
For the first time in 50 years, the Fulton County Bond Fund was set at zero, since all outstanding bonds will be paid off from the existing balance in the Bond Fund. The Bond Fund millage rate was 0.064 mills in 2006.
