WASHINGTON, June 28 -- Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., D-New Jersey, has introduced the New Jersey/New York Clean Ocean Zone Act of 2007 (H.R. 2854), legislation that would "restore, protect, and preserve the natural, chemical, physical, and biological integrity, and the economic potentialities, of the New York/New Jersey Bight through designation and establishment of the New Jersey/New York Clean Ocean Zone and the regulation of various activities therein."
The bill was introduced on June 25. It was referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and House Natural Resources Committee.
