The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection issued the following news release:
Agriculture Secretary Rod Nilsestuen and Energy Independence Director Judy Ziewacz today challenged cheesemakers to add another profit center to their business: renewable energy. Gov. Doyle has committed $30 million to develop renewable energy in the state, and dairy entrepreneurs are in a position to lead the way. Nilsestuen and Ziewacz spoke to members of the Wisconsin Cheesemakers Association at their annual meeting.
